The Influence of Professor Support and Career Identity on Career Preparation Behavior of College Students

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that have effects on career preparation behaviors in college students and provide basic data for active career preparation behavior. For this purpose, questionnaire were distributed from March 12 to 30, 2018. with 257 students from two university in P area.
The analysis result is as follows: First, as a result of analyzing Professor Support and Career Preparation Behavior according to general characteristics, Grade were confirmed to be statistically significant relevant elements. In Career Identity, college satisfaction were statistically significant. Second, Professor Support of college students had a positive(+) effect on Career Identity and Career Preparation Behavior. Career Identity had a positive(+) effect on Career Preparation Behavior. Third, Emotional support, Interests of employment information, and Confident ability showed a positive (+) effect on career preparation behaviors, and the explanation power regression was 55.4%.
Based on the research result, it is necessary that the strengthening career guidance, career counselling and development of employment guidance programs.
